The department of History was established in 2006 and honors was introduced in 2008.From the very beginning the department is dedicated to the cause of the students. Personal guidance, well stocked library, dedicated class room and last but not the least continuous internal evaluation for betterment of learning are important features to worth mention. Publication of wall magazine, study tour to historical places are some important activities to attract the students besides class room teaching. Regular lectures by renowned speakers are organized by the department to enrich both the students and faculty regarding recent developments in the field of history. In fine it can be said that the department of History of Dum Dum Motijheel Rabindra Mahavidyalaya is a perfect place for a student who has a true quest for history.
