After the establishment of the Department of Mathematics affiliated by the University of Calcutta and from the year 2008 it is affiliated by the West Bengal State University. At present the Department has one substantive teacher and one SACT for B. Sc General Degree Programme with sufficient books in College library. The students can feel free to contact the Departmental teachers when they are in need.
The Department of Mathematics began its journey in 1968, offering the subject as a combination paper for the General degree course in undergraduate level. Subsequently it adopted the converted curriculum under the C.B.C.S norm w.e.f. 2017-18 session, followed by C.C.F. (NEP) norm w.e.f. 2023-24 session. Department has highly qualified and efficient teaching faculty. The faculty members have paid their sincere efforts to improve the knowledge and interest of mathematics among the students. I wish the department of Mathematics all the very best in their future and hope the department will scale its journey to glory.
